Last Saturday, ETV started broadcasting a new show called “Pea ees vette. Tai Kuningriigis” (“Head into the water. In the Kingdom of Thailand”). It is a new travel series that follows the adventures of musician couple, Piret Järvis-Milder and Egert Milder and their daughter Milli, in exotic Thailand. Egert and Piret have always been great travel buddies, who have travelled half the world together. Two years ago, daughter Milli had joined their family and last winter they decided to take the first long trip as a trio. So, they headed to Thailand for four months, where, in addition to the world’s most beautiful beaches, rich culture and unforgettable gourmet experiences, the three of them had a lot of adventures and complications that put the family relationships to the test. In the first part of the series, the Milders explore the colourful capital of the Kingdom of Thailand, Bangkok. You can watch the show every Saturday at 8 p.m. on ETV or online on ETV website.

On July 15th, Vanilla Ninja visited ETV’s show “Ringvaade” to talk about their reunion and promote the newest, already second comeback single, “No Regrets”. Lenna, Piret and Katrin joined the host in the studio, while Triinu connected with them via a video call from Switzerland.
The girls’ showed a sneak-peek of the new music video for “No Regrets” and gave an interesting interview.
Among the points made during the conversation were:
– When asked whether they had come back to stay, Katrin answered that they were planning to stick around for at least 5 years (or hopefully even more, according to Piret)
– It turns out that Piret was the one that took it upon herself to invite Triinu back into Vanilla Ninja for the reunion. The first arrangements were made during a phone call.
– The girls had been considering the comeback for a long time and finally, in 2019, they decided the time was right. Had they not made up their minds then, the plan would have remained only a loose idea.
– How is the current Vanilla Ninja different from the band from 13 years ago? In Katrin’s opinion, the biggest difference is their music – there are some great, more peaceful tracks in their current repertoire that stand in contrast to the energetic rock songs she was originally expecting.
Lenna was one of the guests during the special New Year’s Eve episode of the children’s TV show “Lastetuba”. She was accompanied by both her daughters, Ami and Matilda, who also performed a famous folk song “Põhjamaa, me sünnimaa”.
On December 25th ETV aired Lenna’s performance of her song “Kolm korda”, that was a part of the annual Christmas charity programme “Jõulutunnel”.
