It seems like this day is going to be the brightest one in a very long time for Vanilla Ninja fans because it has been announced that Vanilla Ninja will celebrate its 10th anniversary at the new festival in Mezaparks Riga in Latvia – “Pestivals”!!
A new music and culture festival “Pestivals” will take place on 28 July, in the Mezaparks Great Stage. The first announced artists are a legendary Estonian women pop rock band “Vanilla Ninja”, Lithuanian “KeyMono” and Latvian “Musiqq”.
“Pestivals” will take place on the main stage, and attendants can also follow to the beat in a dance tent with DJs, participate in activity zone and during the day enjoy a program for families. Festival will start at 3 p.m. to gather pop music fans at the main stage where the most popular Latvian and foreign pop musicians will perform till 5.a.m.
Many famous pop musicians from USA, Great Britain and Latvia have confirmed their participation in “Pestivals”. Their names will be published soon. The main artists from Baltic countries are following: on the “Pestivals” stage, a band “Vanilla Ninja” will celebrate its 10th anniversary. “Vanilla Ninja” is a girls’ trio from Estonia whose the most popular songs are “Tough Enough”, “When the Indians Cry”, “Blue Tattoo” and “I Know”. The band has released four albums in different countries in Europe, Asia and America. There is possible to buy an ice-cream called after this band.
A Lithuanian band “KeyMono” (ex “BrassBastardz”) is a representative of Electropop and NuJazz. Band’s the most popular song “Bubble in a Trouble” has got a prize for the best electronic/dance music in an international contest “The People Music Awards”. The band consists of Lithuanians and British.
The first known of local – Latvian artists is a band “Musiqq” who gained a popularity in Latvia with songs “Klimata Kontrole” and “Abrakadabra”, and also by participation in Eurovision Song Contest with a song “Angel in Disguise”, will perform its latest radio hit “Miljonārs” on a “Pestivals” stage.
“Pestivals” tickets available in Bilesu Serviss network in Latvia (Statoil, Narvesen, Post offices) and www.BilesuServiss.lv from 3 April. First 3,000 tickets cost Ls 18, later – Ls 25. VIP tickets in limited amount – Ls 50.
