On the occasion of their 10th anniversary, the Minu Unistuste Päev charity foundation opened a first-of-a-kind in Estonia photo exhibition showing seriously and chronically ill children. The exhibition is held in the open areas of Tallinn’s Fotografiska’s 1st floor. Lenna, Minu Unistuste Päev’s patron, performed during the event that took place on July 8th.
Minu Unistuste Päev’s touring exhibition has an important meaning for the foundation. Out of thousands of photographs taken during the last 10 years, only 12 got chosen for the exposition. Every picture tells a story of a child and Minu Unistuste Päev with joy, brightness, sadness and pain going hand in hand. Every story is thought-provoking and profound.
The charity foundation Minu Unistuste Päev fulfils the wishes of seriously and chronically ill children in order to support their and their parents’ mental health and plays an important part in the treatment process as a whole. An average of 100 dream events are organized every year, half of which are personal dream days and the second half – various group events. The foundation gathers over 100 volunteers from all over Estonia.
Lauri Mäesepp’s brother Taavi shared a special picture on his Instagram account yesterday. The description delivers joyful news – during the weekend Lenna Kuurmaa said an eternal “yes” to her fiancé.
In the Instagram stories of the wedding guests, you can see the newlyweds dancing, with the smallest member of their family in Lenna’s arms. Lenna, in a beautiful wedding dress, did not shy away from singing at her own wedding. One of the songs, for example, was a calmer version of “Club Kung-Fu”. It seems that the bride’s feet soon got tired, as she threw beautiful white high-heels away and performed barefoot. Of course, she also sang in the beautiful Seto dialect. Among others, also Piret Järvis-Milder accompanied Lenna on stage. Lauri made his appearance as well.
Singer Lenna Kuurmaa gave birth to her third child in November – her daughters, Ami and Matilda, got a little brother. Recently, in her radio show “Manna ja Lenna”, she also revealed the boy’s name. The son of the singer and her fiancé, Lauri Mäesepp, was named Kusti!
During the show, the woman also admitted that it had been such a long time since her previous pregnancy that she had to remind herself once again how to change diapers and hold the baby.
Lenna confirmed the pregnancy last August in conversation with Õhtuleht.
To continue the course of good news – Lenna became a mother for the third time! A baby boy was welcomed to Lenna and Lauri Mäesepp’s family on November 26th, becoming a brother to Lenna’s two daughters from her relationship with Robert Vaigla, Ami (7) and Matilda (5), and making Lauri a father for the first time. Congratulations!
Vanilla Ninja will be back with a new album, recorded in co-operation with their long-time producer David Brandes, in 2021! Not only Brandes is back on the team – also Triinu Kivilaan is re-joining the band for this unique reunion! Didn’t 2020 just get so much better?
Lenna Kuurmaa had bought a house in Setomaa in 2010 and moved there permanently in March 2020. Since then, she has been taking part in multiple events connected to the culture of this unique region in Southern Estonia. On September 5th she made an appearance at the annual event called Seto Kuningriigipäiv (Seto Kingdom Day) that took place in a small village of Kolossova.
Singer Lenna Kuurmaa started hosting a new radio program “Manna ja Lenna” together with Raadio Elmar’s editor-in-chief Mari-Liis Männik. The show airs on Raadio Elmar every Monday from 14:00 to 18:00.
The program is going to be fun, positive and filled with subjects that women can relate to. Manna and Lenna will often talk about very personal issues. They will certainly encourage listeners to express their opinions and play fun radio-games with them. As there will be two Estonian music lovers in the studio, exciting conversations with musicians will surely go on air.
